Artiness has been founded by a team of Biomedical and Mechanical engineers with a great passion and decennial experience in technologies and healthcare world.

Filippo Piatti – CEO

is a young Post-Doctoral researcher. He obtained a PhD in Bioengineering at Politecnico di Milano working on the development of algorithms and tools for processing of 4D magnetic resonance clinical imaging. He has a strong background in image processing and in vivo blood fluid dynamics.

Giovanni Rossini – COO

is a young PhD candidate in computational modeling for cardiovascular mechanics at Politecnico di Milano. He obtained a Bachelor degree in Physics at Università degli Studi di Milano and afterwards he received a Master degree in Biomedical Engineering at Politecnico di Milano. He has great background in mechanical models of cardiovascular tissues and Finite Element analysis.

Omar Pappalardo – CTO

is a young Post-Doctoral researcher and obtained his PhD in Cardiovascular Science at Cardio Thoracic Surgery at University of Verona. During his PhD he developed computational tools to aid the clinician in the morphological and functional analysis of the anatomical structures. He has big expertise in the biomechanical models and in the imaging analysis of echocardiographic and computed tomography data.

Emiliano Votta

has obtained a PhD degree in Bioengineering and since 2003 he has been teaching at Politecnico di Milano. Up to 2016, he was teaching assistant for Biomechanics courses for undergraduate students in the Biomedical Engineering Bachelor track. Since 2016/2017, he is professor of the course Advanced Modeling Approaches For Cardiovascular Surgery [I.C.] and of the course Computational Biomechanics Laboratory for graduate students of the Biomedical Engineering Masters track. Since 2008 until 2010 he was adjunct professor for the Biomedical Engineering track at Politecnico di Torino. He is author or co-author of more than 110 scientific publications in the field of biomechanics, including more than 40 peer reviewed manuscripts on international journals.

Alberto Redaelli

obtained a PhD degree in Bioengineering on fluid structure interaction mechanics in the left ventricle. Since 2014, he is full professor at the Department of Bioengineering of the Politecnico di Milano. His teaching activities are in the field of Biomechanics and Computational Biomechanics. At present, he is the responsible of the Computational Biomechanics Laboratory and coordinator of the Biomechanics Research Group of the Department of Bioengineering. He has been involved in the development of manifold industrial research projects. He is the author of more than 120 peer reviewed international papers in the field of biomechanics and nanobiomechanics. He has been the local coordinator of two STREP European Projects and one Marie Curie EST European Project in the nanobiotechnology area in FP6, of one ICT project on heart pathologies in the VPH programme e and one IRSES project in FP7 and he is currently the coordinator of one MSCA-ITN project and local coordinator of one RISE project in Horizon 2020. His activity includes the coordination of manifold National public and private projects with 5 patents transferred to the industry.
